LSA, Thanks for the cool idea! I decided to follow your lead and build one for myself. I got by with just cutting 2 slots in the cylinder housing by cutting down the 2 opposite sides of the Kaba lock (the sides without the pins). This allowed me to align the Kaba up with the 5200 cylinder housing, thus I didn't have to modify the retainer plate on the bottom. I can't believe how sweet this works. Mark

Ok, ok, ok. Who has a Kaba Micro switch for sale? I gotta give this a try. Too cool to not try it out.

Gordon, I just picked mine up on ebay for $15, brand new still in the package. The guy still has lots of them for sale. Here's the item # 220515545191

Thanks, oldbiscuit. I'll see if I can get one tomorrow. Seems like a fun thing to attempt.

That Bell lock looks like the lock on my Duncan parking meter. As a matter of fact, the key does too!
Awesome mods, the stuff some of the members come up with is just friggin sweet!

im truely amazed

I have a kaba micro key in my collection, but have never seen the lock.
by the size of the key, I suspect that a special thin short dimple pick would be necessary to pick it
the only place I have seen these locks used is on an expensive italian commercial espresso machine,

who has picked one
where do you see them in the wild.

they are for key switches on security alarm systems... to turn your alarm on or off as you come home or leave your home...

I have not picked it... not tried tho
