Need some help with 2007 Accord

Short version of the story: My wife let our 2 year old play in the front seat for a few minutes when she got home tonight. The car is now locked and the keys are inside. I have all day on Sunday to try to get in before I have to call someone to get in for me. Is there anyone out there who can help? I'm posting here in the "Bypass" section but it doesn't have to be bypass. I just want in, any non-destructive method of entry will make me happy.
Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, NO the kid is not still in the car. :D

Have you tried picking the lock? They are not impossible to pick. Other than that, you can try to wedge the door and reach with a long reach, coat hanger, etc.

Thanks kid!!!

I haven't tried picking yet. I wanted to wait for suggestions here first. I guess I'm off to make a tension wrench and give picking a go.

Please keep the suggestions coming!

The book is calling for inside access tools. Here are a few pics I took of the page for your vehicle.

Looks like a pop up button, maybe wedge the door out at the top and go in with a long tool and pop the button up.

these are all horrible ideas!

buy a $15 dollar air wedge and a reach tool.

if you stick anything in between the panel of that door, youll either damage the links, or, you'll pop the airbags that are required on all vehicles post 2001.

much respect for everyone on this post including kokomo, but that is old school shit that will get you in some serious $ doo doo!

95% of ALL vehicles manufactured after 2001 can be opened like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P82nlvqdyHI

FarmerFreak might have something to say about it. Get a light, push back the shutter cap and have a look yourself. It's... interesting. You have a key though, so you know it's a little different. Been awhile since I was brave enough, but it can be reliably done. I have used a straight pick. Straighter anyway. Good luck!

Thats an awful thing to happen when your keys get locked in. Here's what I'd do!!!

Scenario 1: Go to the back yard, find an Accord master key (Brick) and use that on the rear passenger side window.
This works well but my choice for this little conundrum would be (see below).

Scenario 2: Go to the back yard, find the kid who locked the keys in the car and use them on the windscreen.
It works well, though it will be a bit messy, don't let this put you off this method as wifes are very good at cleaning up kids blood and gore from the windshield's of cars, well mine is anyway.

Hope this helps JR.

I'm going to second s1deshowmick's "Scenario 2" on this...

I'm in.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! :hbg: Kokomo especially for the pics. In the end I just wedged the door and used a bent coat hanger to pull up the lock post.

Lesson learned, I need to get some good auto tools especially good tension wrenches!

Did you not consider getting a spare key, instead of making yourself ready for another hassle?

Did you by chance check the date of this thread? It has been over a year since it was created and last replied to.

My apologies for chiming in a little late! However, I did not notice any one suggesting you a very vital point, to get an extra key. I deal with a lot of people who do not make a spare key and then curse the procedures and expenses they have to go through when either the key is locked in side the car or lost the last key they have.

I am sorry once again
