I know there are books and catalogs but a concise guide would be useful. Also, if someone could direct me to the large terminology post that would be great

I am aware that the tailpiece will not work, I already knew that I would have to order a driver for it, I am pretty sure i know which driver I need for the Medeco core, that picture was to show if I had the correct lock cylinder or not

You will need a cylinder for Schlage that has a screw-on cap.

In the service manual there are two drivers, one for Medeco series 20 cylinders, and another for an assortment of Schlage, Medeco
and Lori 1539, the one I purchased should fall under one of those right? Medeco 20 series driver looks like it is for a screw on cap and the other one has a notch I'm the sides where it looks like a snap ring goes around the plug and the driver, I'm not sure though

I did see that, it looks like the one for a core with a screw on end cap, could this be the one for the core that uses a snap ring?
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 35&alt=webThat is the driver the American service manual says is for the other Medeco core style
