I been trying this technique for awhile and have attempted it on three different locks. For some reason it worked just now. I used two rows of small magnets attached to a toothpick via heat shrink. I jiggled the magnetic toothpick before picking the pins and than insert it again after each individual pin was set. I can feel the magnets in the lock move when the tooth pick is inserted but the lock gave no indication when they are set.

Wow! Schooled on Squire, thanks Peter.

Medeco Padlock

S&G 826 - Medeco Core

Both of these locks were a good challenge for me, but particularly the Medeco branded one at the top, as it was quite worn, and came to me with no key, meaning there was definitely no rotations preset. Took me a good few days of picking on and off to really get the hang of rotating the pins, especially out of false gates, which I guess I hadn't actually encountered all that much in my previous Medecos until these two padlocks. The S&G wasn't as bad, with only 4 pins requiring rotation, but due to the more restrictive keyway I stopped and made a thinner version of my DCAP lifter to fit between the wards. Overall a good day, definitely feel I have a a better handle on rotation now!

More Medecos!

5 Pin Classic, slightly restricted profile.

Thanks go to GreenGrow for this beaut!

New style, 3 spools, 2 ASSA barrels.

50 series Padlock

These have a Cam style core from what I can tell, although I haven't been able to figure out how to disassemble it just yet. If anyone could enlighten me, it would be awesome. I don't buy locks for their collect-ability, but I really do like the patina on this one :)

adi_picker & greengrowlocks... Although I spin a great deal more than pick nowadays, I still really enjoy keeping a close eye on this thread. I just wanted to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the onslaught of high-end shit you guys have been plowing through over the last year or two. Certainly an inspiration to many. I'll bet you've helped more people than you even realize! Sometimes simply seeing that something can be done is enough of a jump-start to get moving.

Keep up the great work... and thanks for sharing.

Thanks OldFast!

I just consider myself lucky to be at a time where I have a good work life balance. I have enough income to be able to purchase new locks, and enough time to be able to pick them. I'm still enjoying the challenge of this open-ended pursuit, so hopefully I can keep moving onto new locks. I have a Fichet in the vise today, come a long way to get to my little corner of Australia!

American 6200 Series w/ Medeco Classic Core

Think this has already been mentioned here somewhere before, but this lock contained a Classic core, though strangely it sported a BiAxial logo on the face. Perhaps in a crossover period, or maybe plugs being diverted between stages of the manufacturing process?

Finally managed to get my hands on an M3 at a decent price.

Congratulations Hux. Differences aside, that's one hell of an achievement.

Thanks man, it is a watershed moment for sure. All the previous efforts have lead up to defeating this lock.

More from the 'I finally found one to buy!' series.

ASSA 600 - New style barrel drivers throughout

This was great fun to pick! Light tension required due to the heavy countermilling.

EVVA DPI H24 Padlock

Crazy keyway, but did have cutouts for the pins through them, so a tall pick was the order of the day. Surprisingly for an EVVA, not particularly hard.

BTW, Hux, about how long did it take to pick it once you worked out the tool?
