Hmmm. Interesting. Thanks for posting a picture.

So are the key pins still serrated though I assume?

Yeah, key pins are the same as normal... no dye/color on them this time around though.

Shearlock has given us a quick & simple way of deciphering the date codes on Americans.

Here's his video.... https://youtu.be/HyOdtLsatkA

Thanks Joe! Great stuff.

Yup. I've got a couple Master locks with EXACTLY the same pinning (right down to the ultra-shallow serrations that you don't feel while picking). To be fair, the pins are virtually identical to what you will find in most Abus padlocks. That said, it is a step down from what you normally find in American locks.

then you have 24 of the same lock pinned exactly the same. Guess you could set some and repin the others.

The lot of 24 are the same I think. But for $3.00 a piece...

The other lot, not pictured that I had purchased and received today are all pinned differently.

While in this thread. Have been in attempt to find the difference in model numbers, which ones are easiest to hardest in picking.

Bargain of the week!!!
I just picked up an American 1100 series from Amazon Canada for $13.98 CAD with free prime shipping that's just over $10 USD. They are probably master cores but still a good deal....... grab em while you can. I'd post a link but I'm using my android box (copy/pasting is a nightmare and I'm lazy) as my laptop hard drive crapped out on me.

Excellent! How many times have I read an article to lament the waste of time? Not this time, I enjoyed every word!
