Did you write a locksmith book?
Where might one buy this book?

Tobias has now patented the code setting keys, so I don't imagine you'll see anyone selling commercial sets until after that patent expires.

I am not sure how what is essentially a key to Medeco locks is patentable, but then if Medeco hasn't challenged it he might have something. Then again, why would he patent it unless he wanted to sell them. Based on his book prices, I sense that making money is one of his objectives. The next best thing would be an expansion of the above article to a precise diagram, but now that I think about it, maybe it is in his patent application. I will see if I can find it.

Well, I can't speak for him but the guy is a lawyer so I have a suspicion he might have researched the various legal issues related to such a patent.escher7 wrote:Then again, why would he patent it unless he wanted to sell them. I'm not familiar with the details of his business affiliations but if he's a consultant for Medeco or the ASSA/Abloy group, or has any plans to be in the future, a patent on these keys would be a good way to prevent or control commercial distribution of code setting keys.
