Hi there im a locksmith from Edinburgh in Scotland. Im looking to splash out on a new set of lock picks. In the past ive always just used majestic pick but i find they snap a little too easy when the going gets tough. P.s i dont mind ordering from abroad. Thanks for any suggestions Danny

Re: New set of picks
Thats what ive always used and find them to be weak. So going to buy a nice strong set
Re: New set of picks
Have you looked at the selection from MadBob in the U.K. Also a favorite of mine is Southern Specialties in the U.S.
Re: New set of picks
No i haven't looked at that shifty1 i will have a check now. Cheers mate
Re: New set of picks
I found mad Bob picks bend easily too. What style of keyways are primarily used there? Peterson are expensive but probably your best bet.
Re: New set of picks
The majority of locks picked in the UK are eurolocks and rim cylinders mate
Re: New set of picks
I've been through Klom, Sparrows, HPC, and Peterson picks. Peterson is my preference for most things for three reasons (i) the best/most comfortable handles, (ii) variety of pick thicknesses (.025", .018" & .015"), and (iii) durability. As droppedtensionwrench noted, they are a bit pricey, but my opinion is that they are worth the price.

Thanks HT4 i think your right. Thanks for the info think i get a set of them. Comfort and strength is my main priority. Majestics can get uncomfortable on stubborn locks
